ABOUT ME

Kristen Leigh Oliver is an actor, singer, dancer, combatant, and burgeoning intimacy professional. Some of her recent performances include the role of Jack’s Mother in Into the Woods at Apex Theatre Studio, Clara in Light in The Piazza, Vivienne in Legally Blonde, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and Ally in String at Jacksonville University. In February of 2019, String was chosen as one of six invited productions to the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region IV, where the playwright was awarded the David Mark Cohen National Playwriting Award.

Kristen has recently completed her BFA in musical theatre and a minor in dance at Jacksonville University, where she studied voice with Dr. Jay Ivey. She has experience in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, fosse, vogue, and tap, and has worked with choreographers Cooper and Morgan at Jacksonville Center of the Arts, and Scott Jones at Scott Jones School of Dance, among others. Kristen is an SAFD Actor Combatant, with certifications in Rapier & Dagger, Unarmed, and Broadsword, and contact hours in Knife and Quarterstaff. She has also completed Level 1 of IDC's Intimacy Path-to-Certification, led by Samantha Kaufman and Maya Herbsman, both IDC certified Intimacy Directors.

Outside of performing, she is the former Vice President of Community Relations and Director of Ceremonies & Rituals of Delta Delta Delta at JU, as well as the former secretary of Order of Omega (an academic honor society for the top 3% of Greek life), and the former Vice President of Omicron Delta Kappa (a leadership honor society).

In all she does both on and off the stage, Kristen strives to be brave through vulnerability and inspire others to do the same.
